They say that Taurus is slow to get going. With my natal Moon in Taurus, I'd have to agree with that. When I had a day job, I'd get up early just to have a slow morning. Well, get out of the way, Slow Poke. The Moon has entered Gemini and things are about to start hopping!

It's been a while since I've written about the tarot and astrology. It struck me today (on the New Moon in Taurus) that it might be interesting to work through this lunation one phase at a time using cards associated with the beginning of each phase. A New Moon likes to start something new and Taurus likes things she can put her hands on, like these cards, so here goes.

The New Moon in Taurus begins her journey with a pleasant sextile to Neptune in Pisces. Taurus and Pisces are an interesting combination. Taurus is concerned with matters of this world while Pisces may be more comfortable in another. The blending of these two energies can produce true concern and responsibility for the welfare of the Earth and an ability to commune with the divine through nature.

The Old Moon of Aries Moves On

The feisty Moon in Aries has a cooling off period late this afternoon before moving into Taurus later tonight. With conjunctions to both Mercury and Uranus in Aries, this spiciest of all Moons is alive with innovative and urgent ideas that she wants to act on immediately.
