The Capricorn Moon arrives right around midnight (12/19) and stays with us through the morning of the 22nd. She has a big weekend ahead of her. She spends the 20th arm in arm with Mars. This might seem a volatile pairing at first, but Mars excels in Capricorn in the best of ways. Having an emotional support goddess like Lady Luna with him could be a good thing. He can benefit from a bit of the feminine touch, right? Sunday morning, this unlikely pair will be joined by the Sun and everything is smooth sailing as we begin the winter season. Mars, the Moon, and the Sun are waving from Capricorn's rocky terrain, "Happy Solstice, everyone. Come on in!" The Moon entered Sagittarius this morning (the 17th) and will give us everything she has until there's not a hint of her left by the evening of the 19th. That's when she becomes a New Moon, disappearing from our view. Her last meeting before disappearing is with Neptune, planet of dreams and illusions. I wonder how lost she may feel, moving alone in the dark, all the while enshrined in sunlight. Dream with this wanderer, look far into the horizon, and watch as the illusions fall away and the dream becomes real. This is the time of making magic. Make yours. Moon in Scorpio through midday on Dec 17th is quarrelling with her ruler, Pluto, for most of the day on the 15th. She's over it by the midnight hour, though, and spends the rest of her journey in harmony with the other planets. Except for a brief spat with Uranus on the 17th. But you know how he is--prone to sudden kerfuffles because he thinks he's brilliant even if no one else thinks so. Her ally, Neptune, carries the balm to smooth things over.
