The Moon is void-of-course when it makes its last aspect to a planet before entering the next zodiac sign. But what does that really mean?

The Moon needs connections, just like we do. After the Moon makes its last connection with a planet, she’s just sort of drifting until she enters the next sign. That can be disturbing to the one body in astrology that is all about response and reactions.

Some astrologers say that nothing comes of things that are initiated in a void period. That could be a good thing. President Ronald Reagan would schedule the delivery of bad news during void periods to lessen the impact. He became known as the Teflon President because scandal and bad public opinion didn’t stick to him. Did scheduling the delivery of bad news during void periods make a difference? Maybe. (Nancy Reagan was very reliant on her astrologer, Joan Quigley.)

I don’t like shopping during void periods. It seems that I don’t use what I bought in the way I should. Food is wasted or clothes turn out to have something wrong with them. That kind of thing.

Some people find these periods to be good for psychic work because intuition and sensitivity are heightened without the influence of other planets. Give it a try to see if you notice this and find it to be true.

Sometimes void periods are over in a few minutes. Sometimes they last almost a day. Don’t live your life by void periods, though. Gauge them for a while to see if they have any impact on you personally. It’s a learning by living experience.
