2013 ~ A Number 6 Year ~ Venus Rules

Doesn’t a year under the influence of Venus sound like a welcome change from the struggles of 2012? I’m more than ready to ring in 2013.

2012 won’t go down in history as an especially good year. It was a 5 year and 5 years can present many challenges. Have you heard anyone say, “Wow! This has been a great year!” Me, either.

Numbers are interesting to me because they bring out some astrological qualities. Sometimes it’s a planet, but sometimes it feels more like a sign…or a planet in a sign.

The 6 is assigned to Venus and carries the coveted Venusian qualities of love and artistic ability. To that is added the quality of responsibility. Family is also a prime concern of the number 6. We can boil all those qualities down to responsible familial love. Starts to sound a bit like Cancer, right? Or Venus in Cancer.

06-the-loversBut the 6 also represents romantic love. And weddings. We’re reminded of the sixth month, June, and it’s association with weddings. We might also think of card #6, The Tarot Lovers, another symbol of romantic love and marriage. All that reminds us of Libra.

Exchanging the stress of a number 5 year for the gentler 6 energy is definitely encouraging. I can look forward to a year that’s more affectionate, hospitable, and sympathetic.

There are some drawbacks, though ~ bossiness, being a bit on the nosey side, maybe a little too much gossip in the air. We don’t need those.

I have to remind myself to focus on the positive and keep my intentions clear.

My wish for you is that you experience the very best of the 6 in the coming year and that it brings you many lovely memories.

Here’s to 2013!

Love long, love strong.

    1. Me, too, mimi. We’ll just have to make it better in little ways. You’re off to a good start. xo

  2. The same to you, CJ. I certainly am not sorry to see 2012 fading in my rear view mirror! I’m a very 5ish person to begin with, and adding a 5 year to that was like an overdose of 5ishness. Donna Cunningham

    1. It can be exhausting, just wear a person out! You made it through, though, with rewards for all your hard work. Here’s to 2013!
