I’ve been a little MIA (missing in action) recently. I guess MIG (missing in garden) would be a more accurate description. I’ve reconnected with the dirt and it feels fabulous. It’s a great improvement outside, too. But the Moon is in Aquarius today and Mercury is Retrograde, so what better time to redownload some computer programs I’ve been avoiding. Well, we’ll have to see if it’s a good time, but so far everything has been going well.
I have a new computer, a Mac Mini (what a miracle machine). I made the switch from a pc after much hemming and hawing and being dragged by the hair by my husband. I’ve been more than a bit bewildered. But as of today, I’m running Parallels, a program which allows me to run the Mac and Microsoft Windows simultaneously. Woo-hoo! It’s the best of both worlds. Downloading Parallels has made all the difference in the world to this old hand at a pc. I’m SOLD!! Love that Moon in Aquarius!
By the way, I’d like to give a great big thanks to Tanya over at Matrix Software for helping me with my duh-ness today while redownloading some software. Tanya told me she’s been there for 13 years and actually helped me download some programs in the past. I had her name written down on my old paperwork (always good to refer to) and was so happy when she answered the phone. She was extremely helpful, and I am very grateful, Tanya. Thanks, and thanks again!
To mark this milestone day and to honor Tanya for being so helpful and gracious, I’m offering a free “Just for Women” report to the first person who asks for it in the comments section. Guys are eligible, too, of course ~ get in touch with your feminine side. It may not be on the side you think it is.
BTW, did you know that Michael Erlewine offers a wide array of free ebooks over at Matrix? For you lunar lovers, there’s Mother Moon: Astrology of the Lights. There are 25 free ebooks, not all astrological. Nature in the Backyard has some absolutely stunning photos of the little critters we share our gardens with.
Your Personal Moon Day
May 7th is my Moon Day ~ it marks the day that the transiting Sun conjoins my Moon each year, and is based on the date that the Moon occupied 16°57 Taurus in my birth year. You can figure yours out by looking in the ephemeris. What day is the Sun at the same degree as your birth moon? That’s your Moon Day. I use it as a day just to relish in the fact that I’m a woman. I think of it as my most feminine day of the year. I haven’t shared this little personal ritual with many people, but I feel that now’s the time to share it with you. It’s also a 4th Quarter Moon right now, same as my birth moon. Oh, happy Moon! Remember ~ we’re not looking at the location of the current Moon, but of the transiting Sun on your birth Moon. I choose to think of this time as my Personal New Moon. It marks a good starting point for my year.
I’m also offering a “Just for Women” report for anyone who has their Moon or Sun at 16-17° Taurus. If it’s the Sun, Happy Birthday to you! If it’s your Moon, Happy Moon Day!
Ok! Thanks I will love to have a report made by you! (And my friends will envy me!) 😀

You got it Rosario! It’s a “Just for Women” report from Matrix software. I’ll have it ready for you tomorrow and email it to you. Email me with your email address.
How exciting it would be if I were first, perhaps next time.
So close, Thanna! (wink, wink)
Tksssssssssss!!! WOWW, realy sweet from you! 😀
Thanks for the link to the matrix site, I will be having fun there. I will also check on my Moon day! My Moon is in Sagittarius and I have always enjoyed the vibes from Sagittarians.
Have fun with that new computer. My old one is giving me fits….but trying to fix it. I will hope when Mercury goes direct all will be right with the computer world. 🙂
My husband bought me this computer on Valentines Day, and I’ve been very slow to get everything set up. I cogitated and made myself nuts switching back and forth between windows and mac. But the Parallels software really makes a difference.
Enjoy the matrix site, Susie, and download some of those free ebooks. What a resource!
Great article, things I did not know, about a personal moon day.
Thanks for writing it. How about that” for Women” thingy. Thanks Again.
I mark the day every year, Barb. A very special day. 🙂 Look yours up. If you need help, let me know.
Am I understanding this correctly? My Moon is at 20 degrees Scorpio,so my Moon day is when the Sun is transiting Scorpio. So it would be in November, right?
That’s right. Find the day that corresponds to 20 Scorpio and that’s your Moon Day.
I appreciate your website. Ever since I was very young I have been interested and at times fascinating by Astrology ~ the grand heavens brought down to earth. My old friend gave me my natal chart and turned me onto Astrology Handbook by Sakoian. I was tripped out by the all the connections. As time in years went by much of it came to pass and I wish I would of taken astrology more seriously back then. So nowadays I just stay aware about the stars and those of us who dwell beneath them. ~Love and Blessings. Peta-de-Aztlan
I wish I had learned astrology at a younger age, too. But as they say, “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” I probably wasn’t ready way back then. As you say, “those who dwell beneath” the stars ~ that’s what it’s all about, learning about and appreciating each other.
auntie moon, I am sooo happy you are back! I am happy you were out in lovely Taurus spring with your hands in the dirt, but I missed the updates! I’m checking daily..and really- we ca download things ok w/ the aquarius moon despite the mercury retrograde?? still worried….
Hi, Angela. Yes, I was “missing” for a while — somewhat daunted by my new computer, and the garden had such a siren’s call. It’s nice to be missed, though, I have to admit.
I downloaded like a maniac yesterday and all is well. Retrogrades or not, make sure the websites are trusted.
I’d love to have a report by you. I really was worried about you when I didn’t get my
daily “Auntie Moon” fix.
Rosario was “fast on the draw,” and is the report winner. I haven’t heard from any May 7th birthday Taurus folks, though. Thanks for worrying about me, Ann. I appreciate that. After so much garden hoisting, I was pretty tired. It’s good, hard physical work. And I think my Merc retrograded waaaaay back. 🙂 Lots of good ideas, though, that I hope will start manifesting soon.
hmm, well I am late to the “Just For Women” party, I have been MIG too.
But what I am really interested in is interfacing Matrix Software with a Mac. I guess that is working out for you now ?
We are a Mac and Windows household, and I have always felt married to Windows, because of the small investment I made in Matrix software. I will be anxious to see how it works out.
Time to go tend to the ferns I am returning to my Sacra Munda.
This is what I did: I have a Mac Mini and installed Windows XP through Bootcamp. Then all the software that ran on windows would run on the Mac, after reinstalling it, of course. The icky part is that I could log into the mac and run mac software, then log off and log in (again) to windows. And back and forth and back and forth. Not fun. Parallels lets both the Mac and the PC software run at the same time. No more logging off and on again between applications. I have a Mac desktop and a Windows desktop on the same desktop. You’ll need to have a Windows operating system to install on the mac through bootcamp. I bought XP for less than $100.
I know this is all geeky talk, but I wasn’t about to give up all the astro software I’ve collected over the years — that would be much too valuable a sacrifice. This ol’ Taurus Moon will have none of that!! Running windows on the mac saved the day, and parallels made it effortless. Parallels is $79 and offers a free trial. You’ll need the windows OS to install, though, to make it work.
Hey!
Loving this. It explains why everything electronic is co-operating so well!
As to the reading – sign me up … I’m a woman, I would love a reading 🙂
be blessed, loved and free!
Dee
Glad to hear electronics are working well for you. There are mixed reviews on Aquarian Moon events of yesterday. Rosario won the report with her lightning fast response yesterday.
I like your title. I had an enormous computer debacle yesterday trying to move my blog from tumblr to WordPress.
My boyfriend and I bought a community garden plot this year. We get to start planting next week. I’m excited 😀
Sorry about the horror of moving your blog. Is it up and running yet?
Congrats on the community garden plot! I’ve never had one of those, but am always fascinated when I hear about them. Whatcha plantin?
