Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius

The Moon enters Aquarius at 6:41am EDT, July 27 and is full at 4:21pm. Those of you with Sun, Moon, or Ascendant in the first few degrees of Aquarius may have already started feeling some jittery vibes. The Sun is opposing and the Moon is moving towards those spots in your chart and Aquarius has a highly sensitive nervous system.

Since the Full Moon occurs during daylight hours in Eastern-Hawaii time zones, those of us in the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii) will not be able to view the Lunar Eclipse. I hold to the theory that we must be in the path of an eclipse for it to have a major impact on our chart. We are still under the influence of the Full Moon, though, and that can be enough to rattle things for a while.

Full Moon effects last for about two weeks, until the next New Moon. Lunar Eclipse effects can last up to six months. That’s one way to tell if you are experiencing effects of the Full Moon or the eclipse. The effects will most likely be related to the house of your chart where the Full Moon/Eclipse occurs. For example, if the Full Moon occurs in your fourth house you will experience events related to home, family, or mom. If it’s in your eighth, those events could involve your loans, taxes, stocks, or sex life. (That’s one interesting house, the eighth!)

This Full Moon requires a balance between self (Leo) and the group at large (Aquarius). If something is out of whack or needs adjustment in those areas, this Full Moon is an auspicious time to undertake getting things back in balance. If you’re a people pleaser, you may find this to be difficult. We all need some self-care, though, and you may be feeling it more now than usual. On the flip side, it may be time to put the needs of a group ahead of self if you have neglected those group needs for a while.

Mercury Retrograde

Mercury just stationed retrograde and will be in that condition until August 19th. Be cautious about signing contracts or making new commitments during this period. Hold off if you can, but proceed with care if you can not.

Moon Water

Reminder: If you make Moon Water, set your containers out on the night of the 27th.

New Moon in Leo

Here’s a quick heads up for the New Moon in Leo on August 11th. It’s at 18°42 Leo with Pluto adding a power boost and increasing confidence.

The New Moon in Leo Pocket Letter will be available within the next couple of days. I’ll announce here and on the Auntie Moon Face Book page. If you’re wondering what a New Moon Pocket Letter is, here’s info about the one that was for the last New Moon in Cancer.

Happy Full Moon!
