Venus into Taurus

Venus moves into lusty Taurus for a month-long stay, June 6 – July 4, 2017. This is not the Venus we associate with love and marriage. This is not Venus, the love goddess. This is Venus, the sex goddess. She never confuses which she is when. This is the Venus that is carnal, sensual, comfort-securing, and with a taste for the expensive.

This is also the Venus that will provide the necessary luxuries to all those she loves dearly, to the best that she is able, and will ensure a healthy inheritance for her children. She is hard working because she understands the value of a dollar, and has no doubts as to which side her bread is buttered on.

She is both attraction and desire, as well as steadfast preservation and bullish growth. Is it any wonder a rising stock market is represented by a bull?

This is Mother Nature who knows the ebb and flow of the seasons, both fat and lean, and so needs a nice stash of gold to feel secure in this ever-changing world of circumstances.

She wants us to fully experience the lush earth and all its pleasures, enticing us to indulge in all the sights, aromas, tastes, textures, and sounds. She is all flavors ~ sweet and sour, salty, bitter, savory, and pungent. She is the uplifting scent of lemon, the lust of musk, and the rich, raw scent of the stable. She knows exactly which perfume will attract the object of her desire. When paired with Luna, she is the scent that sweeps you down memory-lane.

In the tarot, she is the Empress. We can see her as Earth Mother in the Queen of Pentacles. She is the want and need in the 5 of Pentacles (her greatest fear), the benefactor and the coins in the 6, and both the patient gardener and the fruit in the 7.

Venus will move into her role as Diva Extraordinaire when she enters Leo on July 6, 2017.
