Sagittarius Lunation: Crescent Phase; Tool for the Phase: Take the Leap

The Crescent phase of the Sagittarius Lunation began at 8:35am ET on December 3rd and lasts through December 7th, 4:03am. The Moon changes from Capricorn to Aquarius on the 3rd, and moves into Pisces on the 5th. The last quarter of the zodiac is our driving force to take serious action on our New Moon dreams.

We can definitely see the light by the Crescent phase. We may be full of new ideas and are anxious to get on with it. The Capricorn Moon lets us finalize our plans, Aquarius encourages us to do it our way, and Pisces sprinkles a little magic over us.

The morning of December 3rd began with the Moon in Capricorn conjunct Venus, also in Capricorn. I always cheer a little when Venus is the last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs. She’s very classy and very savvy in Capricorn.

Mid-afternoon ET, the Moon moves into Aquarius. What looked classy this morning might look boring  by tonight. Kick it up a notch and trust in the universal law of Imma be me. The only aspect the Moon makes on Sunday, December 4th, is a sextile to the Sun in Sagittarius. This is definitely free-range and free rein time. Aquarius says Imma be me and Sagittarius has great fun doing it.

In the wee hours of Monday morning, the 5th, the Moon is in a back and forth position of easy aspects with Jupiter and Saturn followed by a conjunction to Mars in Aquarius and a sextile to Uranus in Aries. This all happens before most of us are up. The Uranus sextile stays with us all day, adding an extra level of originality to the Aquarius Moon. Flashes of insight just might deliver what you need.

Finally in this phase, the Moon moves into Pisces for a Monday night and Tuesday stay. On December 6th, the Pisces Moon is sextile Mercury in Capricorn. This clarity is helpful as we move through the Crescent phase. If you feel the morning’s clarity slipping away by afternoon, it may be the Moon/Neptune conjunction in Pisces sprinkling some of that magic I mentioned early in this post. If you can manage some downtime on the 6th, use it to find a little peace, rest, and relaxation.

Tools for the Phase: Take the leap

Symbolon Deck

I absolutely LOVE the Symbolon Deck. This card, called The Quantum Leap, is perfect for this Crescent phase and the Moon signs during it. This is the card for Sagittarius/Aquarius and Jupiter/Uranus that shows us the derring-do of Sagittarius and the “are you out of your mind?” craziness of Aquarius. We can follow the Crescent Phase’s signs through the whole of this card:

1) We put the final touches on our plan under Capricorn.

2) We take the leap during Aquarius. Play the Fool. Find your inner weirdo and nurture that unique and delightful spirit.

3) We have faith that we’ll make it during Pisces. What personal magic did your inner weirdo bring attention to? It could be that it’s one of your super powers. Spend a little time dreaming about how your Inner Warrior (Aries) can put that super power to good use in the First Quarter phase.
