It’s the final week of October 2026 and it’s an eventful one.
Here’s where we are:
- The Sun enters Scorpio on the 23rd
- Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio on the 24th
- Venus retrogrades into Libra on the 25th
- The Full Moon in Taurus straddles time zones on October 25/26
- Five planets will be in retrograde giving us plenty to recalibrate (Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune)
- Halloween is on the 31st
- Two hours into November 1st, we fall back an hour on the clock
Here’s a bright note. The Aries Moon trines Jupiter in Leo in the early hours on Sunday, the 25th. The effect won’t last long, so grab that feisty lunar energy while you can.
The Moon’s Journey this Week

The Moon moves into Taurus at 7:35pm on Sunday the 25th and reaches fullness on the 25th/26th, depending on your time zone. (Times are noted on the downloadable calendar, below.) As much as the Moon loves Taurus, the aspects are not beneficial. Do what Taurus loves best by laying low and staying as comfy as possible during her stay here.

Tuesday evening, the 27th, the Moon enters Gemini. She has easy aspects with “difficult” planets (Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn and Mars) until she makes easy aspects with happier planets (Jupiter and Venus) before entering Cancer on Thursday, the 29th. Easy lunar encounters can get lost before you know it, but we can hope for some lovely days.

When the Moon enters Cancer in the evening of the 29th, she has a similar experience as Taurus’s. Cancer’s mood can be a tad more cranky than Taurus’s, so there’s that. The earth and water Moons are in stressful aspects to most planets. All but Mercury are in air and fire signs. And Mercury’s retrograde, so we that to consider, too. The Moon is void for the evening of Halloween. If celebrating, have a good time and stay safe.
Here’s a weekly calendar so you don’t have to remember the Moon’s journey this week. It’s all right here for you to download.

Tarot of Scorpio
You’ll see some tarot cards on this week’s calendar. They all relate to Scorpio season. Death, Judgement, and the Queen of Cups are in the upper left corner. Death and the Queen of Cups are associated with Scorpio. Judgement represents Pluto, Scorpio’s ruling planet.
Then we have a Full Moon card straddling the 25th/26th.
In the lower right hand corner, you’ll find the 5 of Cups. That’s the card for the first decan of Scorpio (0-9.59 degrees of the sign), October 23rd through November 2nd this year.
This is the decan with Scorpio’s strongest stinger. It’s pure, 100%, certified Scorpio. We’ll see influences from Pisces and Cancer later in the month, but this is the real deal.
I’ve created some Scorpio cards for you to download, if you like. Hope you enjoy them. They’ll make great altar or journaling cards during Scorpio season.
I’m including a new card: Full Moon in Taurus. This card shows both Scorpio and Taurus imagery for the two opposing signs of this Full Moon. Keeping these two signs in balance is the goal.
The Full Moon brings illumination. With its stressful aspects, this particular Full Moon in Taurus just may reveal something we’d rather not look at. Scorpio says, “Look. Look at this!” Take that advice.
This begins the waning phase of the lunar cycle, the time of letting go. We have two weeks to focus on eliminating at least part of what we didn’t like in the Full Moon glow. Not everything. Unless you want to. But this is what Scorpio is really good at. Transforming. Let it happen.

May you recognize what is ready to be released without forgetting what deserves to be cherished. May curiosity open a window where certainty has closed a door. And may you find, somewhere in the turning of this week, a place where your heart can rest without having to explain itself.
