If you make only one blessing salt a year, make it under the Full Capricorn Moon.
Salt falls under the rulership of Capricorn and its ruling planet, Saturn, making the Capricorn Moon an especially auspicious time for this project.
Blessing salt can be used in two ways: 1) as a seasoned salt for cooking, and 2) as a magickally imbued salt for rituals, ceremonies, or spell work.

How to Make Blessing Salt

Add the amount of salt you choose to a covered container and let it sit under the light of the Full Moon in Capricorn. A mason jar works great.
You can add as many ingredients as you like or just stick to plain salt. I use pink salt because I like the flavor and the pretty color, but plain salt always works.
You can add your ingredients before you set your salt out or afterwards, whenever the mood strikes. Adding the ingredients before allows them to soak up all that Full Moon energy, but limits ways to use your salt. You can always make two batches, one for cooking and one for magickal purposes.
I’ve used fresh herbs without worry. The salt dries them nicely.

These are the herbs I picked for my Capricorn Blessing Salt. I’m going to use this one for cooking, so I went with the savory herbs: bay, sage, marjoram, thyme, tarragon, and rosemary. (OMG, this smells soooo good.) I’ll tie a ribbon with the little charm dangling from it around my jar and top it with a Blessing Salt label when I put it all together.
Now that I made it, what do i do with it?
Depending on your ingredients, your Blessing Salt can be used for many purposes. Cooking salt can be used to season meats, sprinkled on your breakfast eggs, or used from a shaker at the table like any other seasoned salt. If your herbs are large, grind them with the salt using a regular coffee grinder or use a mortar and pestle and then add them.
For Capricorn Blessing Salt, hold positive thoughts about your finances, career, issues with the blues or depression. Ask for the good things to come and the bad to leave.
Magickal Capricorn Blessing Salt can be sprinkled around your property, in the four corners of your home or sacred space for protection, or placed on your reading table or altar. Carry a little with you when for positive reinforcement when you are away from home.
